Maleny Dairies Excursion

Excursions,-Incursions-and-Camps permission forms

In Year One Science we have been learning about living things and in Geography we have been studying the need to care for places.   To complement these studies, the students and teachers of Year One will be travelling by bus to Maleny Dairies where students will partake in a farm tour, tractor ride and animal feeding session.

Students need to wear their full school uniform including their checked shirt and covered school shoes.  Please apply sunscreen and insect repellent prior to school.  Students will take their school bag which needs to include their fruit break, morning tea, lunch, water for the day, their school hat and a raincoat (this is an all weather excursion).

Wednesday 14 June

Students will leave Peregian Springs State School at 8.15 a.m. and return to the school by approximately 2.45 p.m.  Therefore, please ensure your child is at school on this day at 8.00 a.m. to allow the teachers to mark the roll and prepare the students for a prompt departure.

The cost of the excursion will be $34.50 for students in 1A & 1HJ.
The cost for students in 1W, 1C & 1P will be $23.00 as an $11.50 credit has been applied to your child’s account due to the cancellation of last term’s Chambers Island excursion.

EFT payments need to be made prior to 5 June and cash or card payments must be finalised by 6 June. This is to enable the office to produce accurate records of students attending for class teachers.  No late payments will be accepted.   Please ensure that that the online permission is also complete by this date and medical details if applicable.

We do need parent helpers to assist with supervision on this excursion however unfortunately we are unable to include younger brothers and sisters.  Please email or see your child’s teacher ASAP if you are available to assist.

Kind regards

The Year One Team
