School council

The Peregian Springs State School Council was established in 2013 as a result of the school being given independent public school status in 2012.

The School Council’s role is to

  • monitor the school’s strategic direction.
  • approve - Plans and procedures of the school of a strategic nature; and other documents affecting strategic matters, including the annual estimate of revenue and expenditure for the school.
  • monitor the implementation of the plans, procedures and other documents mentioned above.
  • advise the school’s Principal about strategic matters.

The school council meet four times a year members.

The following staff and parents form our school council:

  • Sara Hollonds – Chair
  • Gwen Sands – Principal
  • Vacant position – P&C President
  • Jodie Curran - Community Representative
  • Russell Krause - Community Representative
  • Chris Cashman - Secretary
  • Chris Wise - Staff representative
  • Vacant position - Parent Community Representative

The School Council’s operations are governed by a constitution.
