The school offers tuition with visiting teachers in Brass, Percussion, Woodwind and Strings.
- An Instrumental Music Teacher teaches interested and committed students in Years 4 to 6.
- A Strings Teacher teaches interested and committed students in Years 3 to 6
While the school has some instruments for hire, participation may depend on the ability to provide an instrument.
The Instrumental Music Resource Fee covers the cost of photocopying, new music and maintenance and repair of school instruments.
The fee is $80 contribution per year for students with their own instrument and $140 per year for students who are using a school owned instrument.
A tutor book will be required to be purchased by all students, these cost approximately $25 - $35 and all students are also required to provide consumable items (reeds/cork grease/valve oil/strings/rosin) as applicable to their instrument. Information regarding required consumables will be sent home once the recruitment process has been completed and instrument offers for 2023 are finalised.
