Education Queensland is changing the way we deal with permissions. This means that all families now need a QParents account.
QParents is a secure, online portal that has been created by the Department of Education to provide parents of Queensland state school students with 24-hour access to their child's information. The portal allows you to securely access information about your child and communicate directly with your child's school.

How to register for QParents
Creating a QParents account requires you to complete a 4 step registration process. You will recieve an emailed invitation from us to apply once your child has started at school. Contact us if you cannot find your invitation letter/email.
We have staff on hand at school to assist with the process. We promise to make it as painless as possible!

1. Enter the invitation code
You must receive an invitation letter or email with your unique invitation code before you can complete this step. If you have not received an invitation letter or email, please contact the office 5351 2222 or email admin@peregianspringsss.eq.edu.au
2. Verify your identity
After accepting the terms and conditions of use of QParents, you will be required to verify your identity by completing an online 100 point identification check. View a list of the accepted documents and their point value: Identity Documents list
Many of our families have come from overseas and have difficulty meeting the ID points requirement. Continue with the registration process regardless (click 'Not enough ID'), and we can help to approve your account from our end. we will contact you to advise what documentation we may require.
3. Create a QParents account
You will be required to create a QParents account using an email address as your account name. That email address will need to be confirmed before your account will be activated. You may, optionally, also provide a mobile number which will be used by QParents to verify your identity (e.g. send you an SMS code to enter into QParents).
4. Add your child
You will then need to request access to view your child's information. You will need to know your child's EQ ID to do this. You can find the EQ ID on your child’s report cards, or school invoices, among other documents. It consists of 10 numbers and one letter. Contact us 5351 2222 or call in for help with this!
After completing these steps, your request to create a QParents account will be sent to us for final approval.
FAQs
I'm having trouble validating my ID documents
The most common problems encountered when validating identity documents online are with birth certificates and marriage certificates. This is because there are so many different variations of these certificates across different time periods and different states in Australia. Some tips to help are:
· Double-check that you have selected the right type of certificate (that you have chosen the time period that matches your certificate).
· Make sure you have entered your name as it appears on the certificate, not your current name (if it is different).
· Make sure you are using a full birth certificate, not an extract. A birth certificate extract cannot be used as an identity document when registering for QParents.
· Click on the question mark icon next to a field for more information. This will display a sample picture showing where on your document you can find the required information.
If you are still having trouble, try using a different document. Alternatively, you are also able to continue your registration with 60 to 90 points of identity documents. See What if I don't have enough ID documents to reach 100 points? for more information:

If you have at least 60 points of these identity documents, you can still register for QParents, but you will need to undergo an additional check at your school after you have registered.
To do this, begin the QParents registration process as normal and verify the identity documents you have. Once you have reached 60 points, you will see an option on the lower left side of the screen that says "Not Enough ID?". Click this to continue the registration process without verifying 100 points of ID online.
You should then complete the remaining steps in the registration process as normal.
