When can my child start school?

Enter your child’s birthday into the calculator and it will reveal what year your child can start (Works only for Prep and Year 1)

The enrolment process

1. All families wishing to enrol are required in the first instance to attend a School Tour.

Tours are held on Thursday mornings at 9.00 a.m. by appointment.

Please contact our office to book an enrolment tour. (07) 5351 2222 or email admin@peregianspringsss.eq.edu.au

2. Documents for enrolment. Copies are also available form our office. Please complete one set for each child, attach the documentary evidence of residence in our catchment and forward to the school office.

Please note that enrolment forms cannot be accepted unless all relevant paperwork and documents i.e. proof of residency and proof of birth etc. are presented.

Enrolment forms are available from our office or via the links on this page.

Please ensure you complete this set of forms in full including emergency contact details, health issues, family issues, etc.

 Additonal forms include:

3. We need to sight an original document of proof of birth. We do not retain a copy of this.

4 . Interview.
All new families are required to attend an informal 30 minute interview. We like to welcome new families personally and share information about our school. This is also a useful time for parents to share information about their children, which will assist us to meet their needs.
Interviews are conducted on Thursday mornings between 10.00 a.m. and 12.00 noon.

5.  Start date.
Your child's start date will be the Monday following your interview (at the earliest, or soon after) – this allows uniforms to be purchased and also time for furniture to be sourced, and teachers to prepare.
We look forward to our partnership and trust that this is the start of a long and happy relationship with Peregian Springs State School.

mLearning - BYO iPad Classes in 2020
At present, Peregian Springs State School is transitioning to a Bring Your own school by 2021, encouraging all children to bring either an iPad (Prep – 4) or a MacBook (Yrs 5-6).
    • iPads at school in 2020: As part of our expanding mLearning Program, all students in Prep will have the opportunity to bring their own iPad to school in 2020. Please visit our mLearning Page on this website for more details.
    • We understand that this requires a significant financial commitment from families and participation in the BYO iPad Program is optional.  Students without their own iPad will continue to access the shared school-owned iPads, for their learning whilst at school.
    • BYO iPads need to meet minimum specifications, so that they can be used in the ways that the school requires them. Please visit our mLearning Page on this website for more details.
    • We ask that all families complete the Expression of Intent Form online for children in Prep 2020 once you have completed enrolment.
