mLearning:

The ‘m’ in mLearning stands for mobile.  mLearning is learning anywhere at anytime and focuses on the mobility of the learner interacting with portable technologies. Students use mobile tools for creating, problem solving, innovating and collaborating.

iPad use options:

As part of the mLearning Program, students are given the opportunity to access an iPad to support their learning.  There are three different pathways for this to happen:

  • Bring your Own (BYO) - Students are invited to bring a privately owned iPad to school to support learning
  • Hire a school iPad - Students can apply to hire a school owned device for the year. Students can take the device home during term time to support learning.
  • Use a classroom iPad - Students can access a shared class device during the school day to support learning

This handbook serves to inform families about the school's guidelines, resources, educational approaches, empowering them to support their children's responsible and effective use of technology, fostering consistency in digital learning practices between school and home environments.
