At Peregian Springs State School, we are proud to offer a comprehensive and dynamic Robotics Program designed to inspire and challenge our students. Our commitment to nurturing future innovators is reflected in every aspect of our curriculum, from classroom activities to extracurricular clubs and competitive teams.

Banner2.png​​Our robotics journey begins in the classroom, where students take on exciting design and coding challenges. These hands-on projects foster creativity, problem-solving and teamwork. Students also have the opportunity to showcase their innovative work to parents, demonstrating their skills and achievements.  


The Springbots - Our school Robotics Academy

For students in Years 4 to 6, our school robotics team, The SpringBots, offers an even more thrilling experience. The SpringBots compete in both local and international robotics competitions, giving students the chance to showcase their talents on a grand stage. Through these competitions, our students not only gain invaluable skills, but also learn the importance of teamwork, perserverence and strategic thinking.

4.pngWe believe in making robotics accessible to all students. our Robotics Club is open to students, providing a welcoming environment where they can explore their interests, develop new skills and engage with peers who share their passion for technology and innovation.​ 


Why we offer robotics 

In today's rapidly evolving world, equipping our students with future-ready skills is more important than ever. Our robotics program is designed to do just that, by fostering: 

  • Creativity and innovation: Encouraging students to think outside the box and develop unique solutions to real-world problems. 
  • Complex problem-solving: Teaching students to tackle challenges with logical reasoning and methodical approaches. 
  • High level communication: Enhancing students' ability to articulate their ​​​​ideas clearly and collaborate effectively with others. 
  • Collaboration: Promoting teamwork and the ability to work cohesively in group settings. 

By integrating these skills into our robotics curriculum, we prepare our students for a future where they can confidently navigate and contribute to a technology-driven world.  ​​


Our achievements 

The SpringBots have a proud history of achievements and accolades. Our team has consistently performed exceptionally well in various competitions, earning recognition and accolades. Most notably, the SpringBots have excelled at the Sunshine Coast Regional competitions, consistently progressing to Nationals for the past five years and winning numerous awards along the way.

Innovate, imagine, celebrate and inspire others! 

​Our SpringX Festival is a STEM inspired annual celebration that is the culmination of the year of learning. It  is an opportunity to celebrate and share new and emerging technology with our community, challenging traditional ways of learning for both students and teachers. It is a commitment to inquiry based learning with students engaged in researching, collaborating, creating and problem solving.
