Families are invited to attend a variety of informal events and workshops designed to smooth the pathway to Prep 2027. All families are welcome, whether you have enrolled your child, are yet to do so, or are undecided about where to go in 2027 😊
- Invitations to attend an interview are sent once we have received all of your enrolment documentation.
- Out of catchment applications will be reviewed later in the year.
Discovery Play Sessions
Explore, connect, and discover the joy of Prep!
We’re excited to welcome your child to a fun and engaging Prep Discovery Session at Peregian Springs State School.

- Meet teachers and new friends
- Join in hands-on learning activities
- Begin building confidence for 2026

While your child is discovering Prep, you’re invited to enjoy coffee, connect with other families, and meet key staff in the room next door.
What to Bring:

Growing Confident Communicators
Thursday 27 August 2026 - 8.50am - 9.30am

This workshop is led by our school’s Speech and Language Pathologist. This session will guide parents through what to expect for children aged 4–6, how to support speech and language development at home, and the important link between speech, sounds and early reading. It will also explore the role of storytelling and reading in building strong communication skills, and provide guidance on what to do if you have concerns about your child’s speech development.

Growing Emotional Confidence

This workshop is led by our school’s Guidance Officer, who will share helpful information and practical strategies to support your child’s emotional development, with a focus on growing emotional confidence. This session will also provide tips to help make drop-offs smoother and less stressful, and our Guidance Officer will be available to answer any questions you may have.
