Last Day of Term 4 – 2022 Friday 09 December | The last day of school for 2022 is Friday 09 December 2022. Children are still expected to attend school on this day. If you intend to collect your child early in this day due to early holiday travel, you must come through the school office to sign them out as per normal school routine. Please avoid break times of 10.40 to 11.00 am. and 1.00 to 1.40 pm. as we cannot release children during these times. |
| Medications to be collected before the end of term. | All medications held at school for your student are to be collected by a parent or guardian before the end of the school year. We are unable to release the medication to students. Please call in to the office prior to 2.45 pm. Friday 9 December to collect. |

| Medication at school in 2023 | Medications to be held at school for your child can be brought in to our office on Friday 20 January 2023 or the first week of Term 1 2023. Medication should be prescribed and be labelled by the pharmacy with prescribing doctor's name, child's name and dose stated clearly. Please provide any emergency plans. A doctor's note is required for any unprescribed or over the counter medication. |

| Homework Centre 2023 | Our 2023 Term 1, Homework Centre Expression of Interest form will be published early in Term 1 2023. (Completion of this form does not confirm a place) Our school's Homework Centre will be supervised by teacher aides in the Resource Centre and will be open starting Tuesday 07 February 2023 and run for 7 weeks in Term 1: - Tuesday from 3.00 pm. to 3.50 pm.
- Wednesday from 3.00 pm. to 3.50 pm. and
- Thursday from 3.00 pm. to 3.50 pm.
The sessions are free, and a healthy snack will be provided. In 2023 we will be taking Expressions of Interest for each term. |
| Bus service changes | Changes to some Sunshine Coast school bus services will be introduced from the start of Term 1 on Monday 23 January 2023. Network changes including new and/or altered routes incorporating timing changes have been implemented to improve on time running and the operational efficiency of some of the Sunshine Coast school bus services. Summarised changes will be published on their website by 23 December 2022. Timetables will be updated and available on the TransLink Journey Planner ahead of the start of term. |
| Host families required for Japanese homestay visit in 2023 | We are so thrilled to announce that we will be able to re-start the homestay programme with our sister school, Sagami Women's University Elementary School in Japan next year. The proposed dates for the tour to our school are from 27 July to 2 August, 2023. We are anticipating that 18 students from Sagami will be part of the homestay program. We are looking for host families while the Japanese students are visiting our school. If you are interested in getting involved, please email me axoka0@eq.edu.au directly. I can guarantee that it will be a fantastic opportunity. We will start the official process in February 2023. There is also the possibility of a trip from PSSS to Sagami later in 2023, although there are still some restrictions in place to visit Japan.
