Cross Country Day
Students compete in their house teams to challenge themselves and encourage others to finish an endurance running event. Year 4-6, 10–12 year-old competitors who place in the top 6 have the opportunity to represent Peregian Springs State School at the Noosa District Cross County Carnival.

Parents and carers are welcome to spectate!

Date: Wednesday 19 March, Term 1, 2025
Location: Peregian Springs State School oval and surrounds

Things to Bring: Students will need a hat, closed in shoes and are permitted to wear sports house colours or school uniform. No coloured zinc or hair spray please. NO SHOES NO RUN NO SPIKES

Training: Physical Education lessons and during class time. Go to your QParents account to consent to your child's participation in walking the course and the event.

Distances:
Prep & Year 1: 1 lap of the oval
Year 2 & 3: 2 laps of the oval
9 and 10 Year olds - Year 4 & 5 : 1.5km
11 & 12 Year olds - Year 5 & 6 : 2.1km
Competition age group as at end of this year 31/12/2025

10:10am	Presentations

	Yr 4-6 races until 10.40am
11:30am	Year 2 Boys
11.40am	Year 2 Girls
11:50am	Year 3 Boys
12.00 noon	Year 3 Girls
12:10pm	Year 1 Boys
12:20pm	Year 1 Girls
1.35pm	Prep Boys
1.50pm	Prep Girls
