Symphony of stories.webp

Our school is looking forward to celebrating CBCA Book Week 2026 with this year's inspiring theme, Symphony of Stories.

One of the highlights of the week will be our Book Character Dress-Up Day, to be held on Friday, 21 August (Week 6).

We invite all students to come dressed as a character from a favourite book. Whether your child chooses a brave adventurer, a magical wizard, a curious detective, a beloved animal character or a classic storybook favourite, every costume will help bring our Symphony of Stories to life.

Costumes don't need to be expensive or elaborate. Many wonderful costumes can be created using items already at home, a little creativity and plenty of imagination. A hat, scarf, cardboard creation or homemade prop can often be all that's needed to transform into a favourite literary character.

If your family is looking for inspiration, encourage your child to:
Choose a favourite book.
  • Select a character they love.
  • Create a simple costume together.
  • Get ready to celebrate the wonderful world of stories!
We can't wait to see our school filled with characters from books of every genre as we celebrate the stories that entertain us, inspire us and bring us together.

We look forward to sharing this special Book Week celebration with all of our students and families.
