Students compete in their house teams to challenge themselves and encourage others to finish an endurance running event. Year 4 - 6, 10 –12 year-old competitors who place in the top 6 have the opportunity to represent Peregian Springs State School at the Noosa District Cross County Carnival.
Parents and carers are welcome to spectate!
Date: Monday 23 March 2026 (Week 10, Term 1)
Location: Peregian Springs State School oval and surrounds
Things to Bring: Students will need a hat, closed in shoes and are permitted to wear sports house colours or school uniform. No coloured zinc or hair spray please.
• Students must wear enclosed shoes. NO SHOES-NO RUN. NO SPIKES.•
Training: Physical Education lessons and during class time. Walking permission form is required for each student in Years 4-6 to participate as their course takes them outside the school grounds. Go to your QParents account.
Distances:
Prep & Year 1: 1 lap of the oval
Year 2 & 3: 2 laps of the oval
9 and 10 Year olds - Year 4 & 5 : 1.5km
11 & 12 Year olds - Year 5 & 6 : 2.1km
